1. Introduction

This Return and Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, course exchanges, and access removals are handled when you purchase courses, digital learning materials, certificates, subscriptions, memberships, or related services from Crypto Compliance Academy.

Crypto Compliance Academy provides online education and training in crypto compliance, AML, KYC, KYB, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, blockchain analytics, digital asset risk, financial crime prevention, and related compliance topics.

For the purposes of this Policy, “Crypto Compliance Academy”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to:

Business Name: Crypto Compliance Academy

Company Number: 15218349
Registered In: England and Wales
Registered Office: 7 Bell Yard, London, England, WC2A 2JR

By purchasing from Crypto Compliance Academy, you agree to this Return and Refund Policy, our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and any course-specific or checkout-specific terms shown at the time of purchase.

2. Digital Products and No Physical Returns

Crypto Compliance Academy mainly provides digital learning products and online services. These may include:

  • Online courses
  • Digital learning materials
  •  Assessments, quizzes, and course activities
  • Digital certificates
  • Downloadable resources
  • Subscriptions or memberships, where offered
  • Corporate or team training access

Because our products are digital, there are usually no physical goods to return. We do not require you to return any physical item in order to request a refund.

If we ever offer physical products in the future, any return conditions for those products will be stated separately at the time of purchase.

3. Our 14-Day Refund Policy

We offer a 14-day refund request period for eligible purchases.

You may request a refund within 14 calendar days from the date of purchase, unless a different refund period is clearly stated at checkout or required by applicable law.

A refund may be approved where:

  • The refund request is submitted within 14 days of purchase.
  • The course or digital content has not been completed.
  • A certificate, transcript, or completion record has not been issued.
  • The course has not been substantially accessed, used, downloaded, copied, or consumed.
  • There is no evidence of account sharing, misuse, fraud, content copying, or breach of our Terms of Use.
  • The request complies with this Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply in your country or region.

We reserve the right to review each refund request fairly and reasonably before approving or refusing a refund.

4. When Refunds May Be Available

Refunds may be considered in the following situations:

4.1 Purchase Made by Mistake

If you purchased the wrong course by mistake, you may request a refund within 14 days, provided the course has not been substantially accessed, completed, downloaded, or used.

In some cases, we may offer a course exchange instead of a refund.

4.2 Duplicate Payment

If you were charged more than once for the same course or service due to a technical or payment error, we will refund the duplicate payment after verifying the transaction.

4.3 Technical Access Issues

If you are unable to access your course due to a technical issue caused by our platform, and we cannot resolve the issue within a reasonable time, we may offer one of the following:

  • Technical support to restore access
  • Alternative course acces
  • Course transfer
  • Refund, where appropriate

Refunds will not normally be provided where the access issue is caused by your device, browser, internet connection, firewall, email settings, incorrect login details, or failure to follow reasonable support instructions.

4.4 Course Not as Described

If the course you purchased is materially different from the description provided at the time of purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days. We may review the course page, checkout information, access records, and your support request before making a decision.

5. When Refunds May Not Be Available

Refunds may be refused in the following cases, unless required by applicable law:

  • The refund request is made more than 14 days after purchase.
  • You have accessed, started, substantially used, downloaded, copied, or completed the course.
  • You have completed an assessment, quiz, or final test.
  • A certificate, transcript, or completion record has been issued.
  • You purchased a digital certificate, transcript, administrative service, or downloadable resource that has already been issued or accessed.
  • You purchased through a discounted offer, voucher, promotional campaign, bundle, or third-party marketplace where separate refund terms were stated.
  • You purchased a subscription or membership and are requesting a refund for a partial billing period after using the service.
  • You failed to cancel a subscription before the renewal date.
  • You no longer need the course after purchase.
  • You changed your mind after substantially using the course.
  • You expected employment, promotion, professional recognition, regulatory approval, or a specific career outcome.
  • Your employer, regulator, professional body, or organisation does not accept the course or certificate.
  • You breached our Terms of Use.
  • There is evidence of account sharing, unauthorised access, fraud, chargeback misuse, plagiarism, scraping, downloading, copying, reselling, or redistribution of our content.

6. Digital Course Access and Cancellation Rights

Some countries and regions provide consumers with cancellation rights for online purchases. However, digital content rules may differ depending on where you live.

Where permitted by applicable law, if you request or receive immediate access to digital content, you may lose the right to cancel once access begins, especially where the course, materials, downloads, or certificate services have been accessed or used.

Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country or region.

If local law gives you stronger refund or cancellation rights, we will comply with those rights.

7. Certificates, Transcripts, and Completion Records

Refunds are not normally available once a certificate, transcript, or completion record has been issued.

This is because certificates and completion records confirm that the course has been accessed and completed.

We may refuse, delay, amend, or withdraw a certificate if:

  • Course requirements have not been completed.
  • Payment has failed, been reversed, or been disputed.
  • Account information is inaccurate.
  • There is suspected fraud, plagiarism, identity misuse, account sharing, or breach of our Terms of Use.

Certificates issued by Crypto Compliance Academy confirm course completion only unless clearly stated otherwise. They do not guarantee employment, professional accreditation, regulatory approval, or recognition by any employer, regulator, exchange, financial institution, or professional body.

8. Subscriptions, Memberships, and Renewals

If Crypto Compliance Academy offers subscriptions, memberships, recurring plans, or renewal-based services, the relevant billing terms will be shown before or during purchase.

You are responsible for cancelling a subscription or membership before the next billing date if you do not wish to renew.

Unless required by law or clearly stated at checkout:

  • Refunds are not normally given for partial subscription or membership periods.
  • Renewal payments are not normally refundable after the renewal date if access has continued or been used.
  • Cancelling a subscription stops future billing but does not automatically refund past payments.

If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us as soon as possible at [email protected].

9. Bundles, Offers, Vouchers, and Discounted Purchases

Courses or services purchased as part of a bundle, promotional offer, voucher deal, discounted campaign, or third-party marketplace offer may be subject to additional terms.

Refunds for these purchases may be limited or unavailable where:

  • The offer stated different refund terms.
  • The voucher or access code has been redeemed.
  • One or more courses in the bundle have been accessed or used.
  • The purchase was made through a third-party platform with its own refund policy.

Where you purchased through a third-party marketplace or listing platform, you may need to contact that platform directly for refund support.

10. Corporate, Employer, and Team Training

Corporate, employer, team, bulk, or organisation-funded training may be subject to separate written terms agreed between Crypto Compliance Academy and the purchasing organisation.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, refunds may not be available once:

  • Learner accounts have been created.
  • Course access has been allocated.
  • Training has started.
  • Learners have accessed course materials.
  • Certificates or completion records have been issued.
  • Custom training, reporting, onboarding, or administrative work has begun.

If you are a learner enrolled by your employer or organisation, refund requests should usually be raised by the organisation that made the purchase.

11. Course Exchanges and Transfers

Instead of a refund, we may offer a course exchange or transfer where appropriate.

A course exchange may be available if:

  • You contact us within 14 days of purchase.
  • You purchased the wrong course by mistake.
  • The original course has not been substantially accessed, completed, or certified.
  • The replacement course is available on our platform.

If the replacement course costs more, you may need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we may decide whether to refund the difference, issue credit, or offer an alternative, depending on the circumstances and applicable law.

Course exchanges are offered at our discretion unless required by law.

12. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us by email:

Email: [email protected]

Please include the following information:

  • Your full name
  • Email address used for purchase
  • Order number or transaction reference, if available
  • Course or service purchased
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request
  • Any relevant screenshots or supporting information

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 calendar days of purchase unless a longer period is required by applicable law.

We may ask for additional information to verify your purchase, account activity, access history, or payment status.

13. Refund Review Process

After receiving your refund request, we may review:

  • Purchase date
  • Payment status
  • Course access history
  • Course progress
  • Download activity
  • Assessment or quiz activity
  • Certificate or transcript status
  • Support history
  • Account activity
  • Any possible breach of our Terms of Use

We aim to handle refund requests fairly and consistently.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.

14. Approved Refunds

If your refund is approved, we will usually refund the eligible amount to the original payment method used for purchase.

Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank, card provider, payment processor, country, currency, or payment method.

We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card providers, payment processors, or third-party platforms.

Where currency conversion, bank fees, card fees, or foreign transaction fees apply, these are controlled by your payment provider and may not be refunded by us.

15. Access Removal After Refund

If a refund is approved, we may immediately remove or restrict access to:

  • The refunded course
  • Related course materials
  • Downloadable resources
  • Assessments or quizzes
  • Certificates or transcripts
  • Learner records connected to the refunded purchase, where appropriate

You must stop using any refunded course materials and must not copy, share, distribute, publish, resell, or reuse them.

16. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a payment, please contact us first at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue.

If you raise a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us, we may suspend access to your account while the dispute is investigated.

We may also suspend or terminate access where a payment is reversed, disputed, fraudulent, or unauthorised.

Chargeback misuse, false claims, or repeated payment disputes may result in account restriction or termination.

17. Third-Party Purchases

If you purchased a Crypto Compliance Academy course through a third-party website, marketplace, voucher platform, employer, affiliate partner, or reseller, your refund may be governed by that third party’s refund policy.

In those cases, you may need to contact the third party directly.

We may not be able to process a refund directly if we did not receive the original payment from you.

18. Changes to Courses or Services

We may update, improve, replace, suspend, or remove course content from time to time.

A refund will not automatically be provided because:

  • Course content has been updated.
  • Module order has changed.
  • The platform design has changed.
  • Course materials have been improved or replaced.
  • Regulations, crypto compliance practices, or industry guidance have changed after your purchase.

However, if we permanently remove access to a paid course during your active access period and do not provide a reasonable alternative, we may offer a refund, credit, replacement course, or other remedy where appropriate.

19. Abuse of Refund Policy

We reserve the right to refuse refunds, suspend accounts, or restrict future purchases where we believe there has been abuse of this Policy.

Examples of abuse may include:

  • Completing a course and then requesting a refund.
  • Downloading or copying materials before requesting a refund.
  • Sharing login details with others.
  • Reselling or redistributing course content.
  • Making repeated refund requests across multiple courses.
  • Using chargebacks dishonestly.
  • Creating multiple accounts to misuse offers, discounts, or refunds.
  • Attempting to access courses without valid payment.

20. Mandatory Consumer Rights

This Policy applies globally. However, consumer protection laws differ by country and region.

Nothing in this Policy excludes, limits, or replaces any mandatory legal rights that apply to you and cannot be excluded by contract.

If there is a conflict between this Policy and mandatory consumer law in your country or region, the mandatory law will apply.

21. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Return and Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, payment processes, legal requirements, business operations, or customer support practices.

The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of our website or services after the updated Policy is posted means you accept the updated Policy, where permitted by applicable law.
